Welcome to my services and pricing page. I know what you’re thinking.
What can she do for ME and how much will it cost?
I’m here and ready to help in a number of ways.
Have you finished the final draft of your manuscript and want to test the reception with readers before you publish your work?
If the answer is “Yes,” I’d love to be your critique partner and beta read your manuscript.
Many authors send their manuscript off for beta reading – also known as a critique – so that they can gain some feedback from their target audience; ensuring that their book is well suited for readers, is conveying the right message and is enjoyable before they move on to final polishing or publishing.
Share your manuscript with me and I’ll provide you with feedback on your book and let you know which elements I loved and which I thought could be improved, and how.
Guideline for Pricing: £2-£4 ($3-$5) per 1,000 words
Editing & Proofreading Services
Do you want to make sure your novel is as good as it can be before you publish it?
If the answer is Yes”, I’d love to help you realise your vision.
There is a great deal of confusion about what an editor does and how that differs from the job of a proofreader. Many people blur the roles of proofreaders and copy editors these days, and that is OK. Put simply, the difference between the roles is:
- The proofreader corrects.
- The copy editor revises and corrects.
I offer both a proofreading service and a copy editing service so I’m happy to discuss your individual needs.
Guideline for Pricing: £5-£15 ($7-$20) per 1,000 words
Over my, albeit brief, novel-writing career, I have developed absolute trust in Kim’s literary judgement. If Kim says, this sentence is clunky, I de-clunk, if Kim says, re-write this, I re-write it. Every observation was spot on. Kim sees the trees as well as the wood.Holly Bell
